Education
I graduated from Brigham Young University in 2011 with a 3.7 and a degree in Health Education, with minors in Spanish, TESOL K-12, and Physical Education. I hold professional teaching licenses in VA, CA, and CO in the subject areas of Spanish, ESL, Physical Education, and Health. I am NCLB qualified in Health and Spanish, as the requirements of a Spanish minor at BYU are equivalent to a major at most universities. While attending BYU, I took Spanish courses from 100-400 level. I completed a study abroad in Guadalajara, Mexico. I was also part of BYU's Foreign Language Housing Program, where I spoke Spanish, and then Portuguese 24/7 in our home with a native speaker.
Experience
I have taught and tutored since I was in elementary school, and I absolutely love to help others learn about the exciting world around them! Along with my passion for teaching, I have many years of experience. I have 6 years of independent tutoring experience, and I have taught Spanish and ESL for 4 years between Richmond Public Schools (VA), Covina Valley Unified School District (CA) and Denver Public Schools (CO).
