I went to college in Denver at Regis University and have a chemistry degree. Because of my college, I was able to become experienced with tutoring community children, other students and adults in the area. I tutor Spanish, chemistry, and math. I particularly enjoy math because it is most logical to me and it is remarkable to me how mathematical topics seem to unite around a theme.One of the qualities I like most about myself is my ability to be patient with students. When tutoring, I actually like to work through a number of problems over and over until the student masters the concept. I emphatically believe that every student can learn anything and that it is the job of the tutor to find the right strategy for making that happen. I find tutoring to be tremendously fulfilling and I very much enjoy passing on what I know to others.In my free time I like to travel and volunteer; I have done volunteer work in a number of places around the world and it has been tremendously gratifying for me. I think of myself and others differently as a result of that work. I also enjoy watching football, reading, and playing the guitar.
